Lieutenant Colonel Diane Patton, OG Commander

Lieutenant Colonel Diane E. Patton is the Commander, 908th Operations Group, Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama. As Commander, she is responsible for all matters pertaining to the operational readiness and effectiveness of the Operations Group to support worldwide aeromedical evacuation, tactical airlift and airdrop missions.

Lieutenant Colonel Patton first enlisted in the U.S. Air Force Reserves in November 1997 and received her degree at the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania in 2002. She earned her commission from Officer Training School and completed Joint Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training at NAS Corpus Christi, TX.

Prior to her current assignment, she served as the Director of Operations, 357th Airlift Squadron, Maxwell AFB, AL, and was formerly Chief of Tactical Airlift Requirements, Reserve Programs and Requirements, Pentagon, Washington, D.C. She has deployed in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom, and New Dawn. Lieutenant Colonel Patton is a senior pilot, having flown more than 2,700 hours, including over 400 combat hours in the C-130H.
