CY19 Air Force Reserve Promotion Announcement: Major

Headquarters Air Reserve Personnel Center officials announced results for the Calendar Year 2019 Air Force Reserve Line and Non Line Major Promotion Selection Boards today. The boards selected more than 900 Citizen Airmen for promotion.

The selection boards convened at HQ ARPC January 28-February 1, 2019, to determine those officers best qualified to assume the next higher grade. Board members selected 955 of 1,262 officers considered.

Categories considered during these promotion boards were:  Air Force Reserve Line, Dental Corps, Medical Corps, Nurse Corps, Medical Services Corps, Biomedical Sciences Corps, Chaplains and Line of the Air Force Judge Advocates.

Participating Reserve

- 244 Line officers selected from 320 considered for a 76 percent selection rate.

- 12 Chaplains selected from 14 considered for an 86 percent selection rate.

- Six DC officers selected from six considered for a 100 percent selection rate.

- 16 LAF-J officers selected from 20 considered for a 80 percent selection rate.

- 23 MC officers selected from 27 considered for a 85 percent selection rate.

- 59 NC officers selected from 67 considered for an 88 percent selection rate.

- 7 MSC officers selected from 10 considered for a 70 percent selection rate.

- 11 BSC officers selected from 12 considered for a 92 percent selection rate.

 

Nonparticipating Reserve

- 211 Line officers selected from 248 considered for a 85 percent selection rate.

- Three Chaplain officers selected from four considered for a 75 percent selection rate.

- 11 DC officers selected from 14 considered for a 79 percent selection rate.

- Seven LAF-J officers selected from 10 considered for a 70 percent selection rate.

- 11 MC officers selected from 12 considered for a 92 percent selection rate.

- 77 NC officers selected from 91 considered for a 85 percent selection rate.

- Two MSC officers selected from three considered for a 67 percent selection rate.

- 25 BSC officers selected from 37 considered for a 68 percent selection rate.

- Three MC officers selected from four considered for a 75 percent selection rate.

- Five NC officers selected from six considered for a 83 percent selection rate.

- Three MSC officers selected from three considered for a 100 percent selection rate.

- One BSC officer selected from three considered for a 33 percent selection rate.

- 25 Line officers selected from 50 considered for a 50 percent selection rate.

- One Chaplain officer selected from two considered for a 50 percent selection rate.

- Three DC officers selected from five considered for a 60 percent selection rate.

- Three LAF-J officers selected from nine considered for a 33 percent selection rate.

- One MC officer selected from three considered for a 33 percent selection rate.

- Seven NC officers selected from 14 considered for a 50 percent selection rate.

- No MSC officer selected from one considered for a zero percent selection rate.

- 11 BSC officers selected from 23 considered for a 48 percent selection rate.
