Fuel for the Fight
Air Force Reservist Senior Airman Xavier Bryant, 908th Logistics Readiness Squadron Fuel Flight, performs an important daily check, unrolling the hose on an R-11 refueler during vehicle checkpoint operation to look for cuts, scrapes, or separation of the core. If the hose is found to be unserviceable, the unit is removed from service until the hose can be changed because the hoses are subjected to high pressure and high flow conditions. Airman Bryant and the 10 Airmen of the fuel flight keep the fuel flowing and the planes flying for the Maxwell AFB. Ala.-based 908th Airlift Wing. (U.S. Air Force photo by Mr. Jeff Melvin)
