    Senior Airman Michael Sanchez is a passenger services agent with the 25th Aerial Port Squadron. As a PAX agent, Sanchez is responsible for the coordination of passengers on our aircraft. Sanchez has been with the 908th since October of 2020 although his military service began with the Army in 2004.

  • What to do with old ABU’s? 908th Airlift Wing Airman has the answer

    No longer authorized for official wear, many Airmen don’t know what to do with their old ABU’s. Some have discarded them or relegated them to work clothes. Others have stuffed them into storage. Senior Airman Michael A. Sanchez, a passenger services agent with the 908th Airlift Wing’s 25th Aerial Port Squadron, had a better idea: collect and donate them to the Civil Air Patrol.

    Tech. Sgt. Gabrielle Bates is the NCOIC of the air terminal operations center with the 25th Aerial Port Squadron, she also works full-time as the 908th Airlift Wing’s Yellow Ribbon Program coordinator. Bates has been with the 908th AW for the entirety of her 13 year Air Force career and has worked as an Aerial Porter.
  • 908th FSS Serves up Success During Exercise

    The 908th Force Support Squadron conducted an exercise during the unit’s July super Unit Training Assembly at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama, that simulated them playing their part as if the wing were to deploy to deliver humanitarian aid to a fictional local populace. The purpose of this exercise was for the members of the 908th FSS to practice setting up bare-base operations and supporting contingency operations to a deployed area, said Lt. Col. Mark Morris, 908th FSS commander.

  • 908th Airlift Wing remembers 9/11 with flyover

    Remembering the tragic events of Sept. 11, 2001, provides little cause to celebrate for the vast majority of United States citizens, including members of the Armed Forces. Many face the day with somber reverence to the memory of all the victims and the heroes that sacrificed themselves that day (and for the 20 years since) so that others may live in peace and security. The significance is not lost on the Airmen of the 908th Airlift Wing, who, despite continuing to conduct tactical airlift missions around the globe, made it a priority to execute a flyover of Braly Stadium, home to the University of North Alabama Lions.

  • I am The 908th: Airman Cody Varner

    Airman Cody Varner is an air transportation specialist in the ramp section of the 25th Aerial Port Squadron here at the 908th Airlift Wing. His job as an air transportation specialist consists of uploading and downloading cargo from aircraft as well as transporting cargo to and from the holding yard.
